-Applied Kinesiology
AK as it is known is a way to get biofeedback by utilizing muscle testing. As an approach to health it includes acupuncture, and other stimulatory points on the body, nutrition that is specific to each organ or system, cranial therapy as well as considering mental/emotional aspects that effect our health. Structural adjustments are part of this body of work that was originally started by Dr. George Goodheart. It is actually a complete dynamic wholistic treatment approach that continues to evolve. Eugene has only a few doctors that employ these methods to enhance health.

These adjustments are varied and dependent on the patient and their history but include diversified, SOT blocking, Thompson drop table, activator and arthrostim. Extremities are also subject to joint dysfunction and many types of symptoms can be alleviated by chiropractic adjustments. These are seen in sports injuries as well as weekend warriors in Eugene.

Supports are often necessary to allow an injured body part to rest while being treated or stabilize it while the healing is taking place. Often if these are not employed the injured part remains aggravated by activities of daily living and as a result do not heal or do not heal well. Sports taping is effective and popular now. It can not only help the athlete but the average person as well. In my experience while here in Eugene I have seen this work well.
